Even if you haven't watched the show or seen the memes taking over the internet - chances are you've probably heard of Squid Game.

쇼를 보지 않았거나 인터넷을 장악한 밈을 본 적이 없더라도 오징어 게임(Squid Game)에 대해 들어본 적이 있을 것입니다.

 

 

In Squid Game, a group of 456 people, in debt and desperate, are lured into a bloodthirsty survival game where they have the chance to walk away with 45.6 billion Korean won ($39 million) if they win a series of six games.

오징어 게임에서는 빚을 지고 절박한 456명의 사람들이 잔인한 생존 게임에 유인되어, 6게임 연속 이기면 456억 원(3900만 달러)을 손에 넣을 수 있는 기회를 얻게 됩니다.

There's also the element of nostalgia. For example, the Dalgona honeycomb challenge featured in episode three is one that most Koreans remember playing when they were kids.

In the challenge, players must carefully cut out a shape from a paper-thin sheet of honeycomb candy using a needle. If you get a very intricate shape and the candy cracks, you lose.

For the uninitiated, Squid Game: The Challenge is an unscripted reality television show based on the hugely popular original Korean drama series Squid Game.

Inspired by the Korean dystopian show Squid Game, competitors had to take part in memorable challenges from the series.

At $4.56m (£3.66m), the winner's prize is thought to be the biggest cash prize in the history of reality TV.

휘게(Hygge) 뜻을 아시나요?
What Is Hygge? Hygge is a Danish term that represents a concept and cultural phenomenon. While there is no direct English translation for the word, Hygge is often associated with a sense of coziness, comfort, and contentment. It encompasses a feeling of warmth, relaxation, and enjoying the simple pleasures of life.휘게는 덴마크어로 하나의 개념이자 문화 현상을 나타내는 용어입니다. 이 단어에 대한 직접적인 영어 번역은 없지만, 휘게는 종종 아늑함, 편안함, 만족감과 연관되어 있습니다. 휘게는 따뜻함, 휴식, 삶의 소박한 즐거움을 누리는 느낌을 포괄합니다.  If you've ever enjoyed reading a book indoors on a rainy Sunday or a cup of hot cocoaon a snow day, you've experienced hygge without even knowing it.비오는 일요일 실내에서 책을 읽거나, 눈 오는 날 따뜻한 코코아 한잔을 즐겨본 적이 있다면, 자신도 모르게 휘게를 경험한 적이 있을 것입니다.    What Does It Mean to Live a Hygge Life?휘게 라이프를 산다는 것은 무엇을 의미할까요?  In addition to describing things as hyggelig (hygge-like), Danes are also obsessed with adding hygge to other words to describe things. For example, a hyggekrog is essentially a nook where you can get cozy—imagine a window seat where you can wrap yourself up in a blanket and watch the world go by, or your favorite armchair where you do all of your reading.
