Have got
1. 기본 개념
have got은 우리가 소유하고 있는 것(things), 가족(family members), 신체 특징(parts of the body) 등을 말할 때 자주 씁니다.
→ “가지고 있다 / ~이 있다”라고 해석하면 됩니다.
우리는 우리가 가진 것에 대해 이야기할 때
I/you/we/they + have got
또는
he/she/it + has got을 사용합니다 .
많은 상황에서 have 와 have got은 같은 의미를 갖습니다.
Have got은 have 보다 조금 덜 격식적인 표현입니다 .
우리는 말할 때는 have got을 ,
글을 쓸 때는 have를 더 많이 사용합니다.
They have got a big garden. = They have a big garden.
2. 기본 문장
I have got a new backpack. (= I’ve got a new backpack.)
→ 나는 새 책가방을 가지고 있어.
She has got two brothers. (= She’s got two brothers.)
→ 그녀는 남동생이 두 명 있어.
We have got a small garden. (= We’ve got a small garden.)
→ 우리는 작은 정원을 가지고 있어.
They have got black hair.
→ 그들은 검은 머리를 가지고 있어.
have/has got은 일정이 정해진 행사, 질병 또는 추상적인 사물 에도 사용할 수 있습니다
They’ve got a math exam tomorrow morning.
→ 그들은 내일 아침에 수학 시험이 있어.
We’ve got English class after lunch.
→ 우리는 점심 먹고 영어 수업이 있어.
I’ve got a sore throat, so I can’t sing.
→ 나는 목이 아파서 노래를 못해.
I've got a good idea!
→ 좋은 생각이 났어요!
Have/has got은 현재 시제로만 사용됩니다. 과거 시제의 경우 got 없이 had를 사용합니다 .
I had a blue bike when I was young.
3. 부정문 (Negatives)
He has not got a bike. (= He hasn’t got a bike.)
→ 그는 자전거가 없어.
They have not got any pets. (= They haven’t got any pets.)
→ 그들은 애완동물이 없어.
4. 의문문 (Questions)
Have you got a computer? Yes, I have.
→ 너 컴퓨터 가지고 있니? 응, 가지고 있어.
Has she got a piano? No, she hasn’t.
→ 그녀는 피아노가 있니? 아니, 없어.
What kind of phone have they got?
→ 그들은 어떤 종류의 휴대폰을 가지고 있니?
5. Short answers
For yes/no questions, we can use short answers.
Yes, I/you/we/they have.
No, I/you/we/they haven't.
Yes, he/she/it has.
No, he/she/it hasn't.
6. We often contract the verb, especially when we're speaking.
I have got a brown jacket. = I’ve got a brown jacket.
→ 나는 갈색 자켓을 가지고 있어.
My brother has got short hair. = My brother’s got short hair.
→ 내 남동생은 짧은 머리를 가지고 있어.
They have got a big house. = They’ve got a big house.
→ 그들은 큰 집을 가지고 있어.
